Just as Mozart appropriated the Turkish style into his "Rondo alla turca," we've appropriated the music of Mozart into our own. We've titled the piece "Ragtime alla turca" and although it diverts considerably from the notes of Mozart's rondo, we sought to capture the utter joyousness and virtuosity -- and the folksiness and sense of play -- of the original work.
