Extras
In every one of Greg's performances, there's something extra that makes it special. His website is no different.
Recommendations
This is one of the most useful and one of Greg's favorite pages on andersonpiano.com. Many people are enthusiastic about listening to classical piano music, but they don't know where to begin. Not only is there a huge wealth of repertoire to select from, but every piece has been recorded by dozens of pianists. It was through these pieces that Greg fell in love with classical piano music, and he's confident the music will affect you similarly. Included are links to recommended recordings!
Music Listening: an incomplete manifesto
An essay on the art of listening. This text is often featured as program notes for Greg's performances.
Old-time sea-fight
"Would you hear of an old-time sea-fight" is an excerpt from Greg's book-in-progress, currently titled, "The Art and Evolution of Piano Recital Programming." It's a dramatic account of a battle between a Strauss Waltz transcription and a concert pianist.
Cat's Fugue
The first chapter of Greg's book in its present, working stage. It's a comical synopsis of the evolution of the piano recital told from the perspective of an innocent, 300-year-old fugue.
...Ondine
"...Ondine" is an advanced set of considerations for one of the tracks on Greg's CD, "On Wings of Song." The considerations are racy and sexually explicit, so they should taken up only by the adventurous. Consider yourself warned!
"Choose Your Own Adventure: Greg's Future"
A "choose your own adventure" story! It's a bit of fun on andersonpiano.com -- and a useful tool for learning about recital programming as well. Possible story lines involve a "Deuce Bigalo" movie score, a potentially violent duel with a music critic, variations on an annoying printer hum, an Italian recital series, "America's Got Talent," and much, much more.
Harry Potter
You've been begging for it! Here it is: Greg's journals, a video, photos, news items, and more - all relating to his exploits with "Harry Potter" and MTV.
Live Performance
A short essay on live performance.
Interact
Interact on andersonpiano.com! By doing so, you'll help Greg research (you could make your way into his book!), and you'll aid his quest to maximize the impact of classical music in performance. Advise audience members or concert performers, visit the polling booths, recommend music, ask questions, and review Greg.
Videos
Don't miss the videos. They're quite the "extra"...
Juilliard Experience
The program notes from "Life Between the Keys," a concert experience created by Juilliard's undergraduate piano class of 2004.
Flyers
A gallery of artsy concert flyers for some of Greg's past concerts.

life is more true than reason will deceive
